Waxed Papers
I've made a series of in-progress paper batiks just to illustrate the process of creating a two color image. This is not including the color of the paper, which can be considered a third color.
From left to right: 1) wax is applied as a resist to paper and 2) the first color, green, is painted on. 3) When the paper is dry, wax is applied to areas that I want to keep green. 4) Gray is painted on next. 4) More wax is applied, this time over the entire piece. 5) Final image after wax is ironed off.
And that's all there is to it! It's quite a lot of fun because you never know exactly how it will turn out.
