Teabagging à ma façon (my way)

I have jumped on the used teabag bandwagon!

I was highly resistant to this online trend. But then I cut out caffeine, alcohol, sugar, grains, dairy, and fruit...

Not only have I lost weight, gotten my creativity back, gotten less stressed out and more energetic (sound like an infomercial yet?)— but since I drink only herbal teas I have a TON of teabags. So one day, I gingerly opened one up and saw that the paper they use is very robust and will stand up to abuse. Since abuse is one of my secret tools in creating destroyed works, I thought “Why not? Nobody has to know.”

But I actually loved how much fun it was making marks on these sturdy little papers.

So now you know.

  5. Love your teabag designs! My hubby is off caffeine and low on alcohol (and cutting back on other fun things). I think he is trying every tea known to mankind -- or to come in a bag. I've been resisting too. But maybe, just maybe the next time he uses something other than cinnamon and apple, I might just have to try this too.

  10. I really like what you're doing with the teabags here and how it evolved out of your lifestyle change. I did a similar regimen a year ago and added some of it back to my diet. Going without fruit though...wow. That would be a hard one for me. I lived on Alaskan blueberry high protein almond milk smoothies this last year. Still most loyal to the elimination of grains especially wheat that seemed to make the most difference out of all of it.
I did a share on fb to hopefully garner some more likes for your page.

  11. here from kim's FB link...teabags. i'm seeing them a lot. makes me wish i didn't drink loose tea...

interesting also your dietary change. i'm not sure i can give up caffeine, but i've decided that during april at least, alcohol and wheat have got to go. not sure why that combination, but it was what i could get my head around.

ok, that was a lot of information for a random stranger.

off to rummage through the drawers for some teabags...carry on, it's good stuff you're doing.

  12. Kim--want your smoothie recipe! thanks for sharing on fb--I got some seriously nice comments and visitors. I'm eating one fruit a day now, makes me really appreciate it.

julochka--I'm usually a loose tea drinker too, which is why I didn't have a used tea bag problem before. And there's no such thing as a random stranger on my blog--except spammers of course! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back :-)

  13. Ok now I figured out how to leave a comment (after emailing you)!
A couple more tea and whatnot comments: coffee filters are nice too. And even if you don't drink it, you can sometimes find a whole ton of teabags at those cheap discount grocery places or the dollar stores (I wouldn't drink the tea actually) -- empty them out for the tea bags! I remember seeing a gorgeous tea bag art piece in Paris where the artist had taken tea bags and used gold leaf, joined them together... it was many years ago and I never took a picture of it but I have a vague memory and think I may try jumping on this wagon too! Why not!
